Chelsea and Real Madrid are negotiating a swap deal for goalkeepers Andriy Lunin and Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to reports in Spain. Ukraine international Lunin served as Real’s no1 for most of the 2023-24 season but lost his place in the side following Thibaut Courtois’ return from injury – benched for the Champions League final victory over Borussia Dortmund. Lunin was thought to be close to signing a deal long-term deal in the Spanish capital. But with Los Blancos unable to offer him any guarantees over first-team football, a move is being considered.
