Erik ten Hag has extended his contract at Manchester United, the club have confirmed.

The Dutchman, who was on the brink of losing his job at the end of last season before the club’s FA Cup triumph over Manchester City, has extended his deal until June 2026.

New minority owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INOES conducted an end-of-season review where they also held talks with possible replacements, including former Bayern Munich and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite finishing eighth in the Premier League last season, the United hierarchy determined ten Hag was the right man to take the club forward.
